All extremely accurate analogies for the harder side of Administration work – both winning it and running it - particularly when the market is a bit flatter.
2025 so far has not yet seen the team reach the brilliant heights of 2024 but(!) there is still plenty of time to do so and even in this more challenging period, the work has still been good enough, just not excellent.
Still, the nature of Administration work is such that one or two jobs can literally change a whole year. So, when I’m drafting the Xmas update, chomping on Mr Kipling’s luxury mince pies, I might well be reporting a record year. The pipeline certainly makes that a possibility.
Meanwhile, team wise we are improving in shape and function. Various new recruits, most recently Adam and Craig, have integrated well with the more established residents and the quality of the work – and related systems (shout out to Annabel on that!) - is improving.
To conclude, one thing for sure with Administration work (business advisory/restructuring), is that the assignments can come out of left field. So, I would always encourage staff to keep an eye and ear out for any situation where a business is in financial or operational difficulty, as we should be able to assist – win win 😊
